On the 27th and 28th January 2022, the Oversight Committee for the Premier’s Office & the Legislature (OCPOL) will host Gauteng’s youth in a hybrid session to discuss employment matters and youth participation in the Gauteng economy.

Young people are suffering from extreme youth unemployment statistics and lawmakers in Gauteng want to do something about it. They will be engaging with the entrepreneurial sector, economic experts, youth development experts but most importantly young people in Gauteng to explore solutions. The Tshepo 1 Million program which is Gauteng Government’s short-term strategy to address youth unemployment will also be reviewed.
