Committee applauds the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation and Gauteng Film Commission on achieving unqualified audit and clean audit opinions respectively for 2018/19 FY. Gauteng Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, led by the Chairperson Honourable William Matsheke wish to applaud the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation and it’s entity on achieving an unqualified audit opinion and clean audit respectively for 2018:19 Financial Year.”
The Portfolio Committee on Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture under the leadership of Chairperson Matsheke would like to congratulate the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation and Gauteng Film Commission for maintaining an unqualified and clean audit respectively. This is an indication that the department is heading towards the right direction on servicing the people of Gauteng through these audit outcomes. However, the Committee will continue to do Oversight over the Department in order to make sure that it moves towards achieving a clean audit and for the Gauteng Film Commission to continue to maintain a clean audit. Achieving a clean audit in the public sector is not easy, but sustaining it, is hard as well.
