Led by Honourable Chairperson Refilwe Mogale, the Standing Committee on Petitions convened on Friday (16th February 2018) to conclude on ongoing petitions. The discussions resulted in the closing of six petitions where service delivery challenges have been resolved.
The PSC is pleased to announce that it has successfully resolved the following petitions:
Reopening of Natalspruit Hospital (PP03B/07/17/HE-ID)
Poor service delivery : Toekomsrus (PP23D/02/17/LO)
Mismanagement of School: Thutopelo (PP35B/09/16/DE)
Poor working conditions : Auxiliary workers (PP36B/09/16/DE)
Allocation of RDP Houses : Daveyton (PP07C/10/17/LO)
Lack of service delivery : Springs (PP62B/07/13/LO)
The PSC commends petitioners for trusting the system and opting for a peaceful means of protest. The PSC works with other GPL Committees as well as the Gauteng Government to ensure petitions are resolved speedily.
