On Monday, 2 October 2023, the Southern African Development Community Organization of Public Accounts Committees (SADCOPAC) will host the official Opening Ceremony for its 15th Annual Conference, themed: “Enhancing Oversight for Advanced Ethical Public Financial Management, Governance and Accountability Towards the Development of Africa”.
SADCOPAC is a coordinating structure for Public Accounts Committees in the SADC region. Public Accounts Committees exercise oversight on governments within SADC countries to ensure prudent financial management, good governance, and accountability.
Through its 20 years of existence the association has strived to foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge among its member states, and act as a recognized voice of Public Accounts Committees.
Through facilitated plenary discussions, delegates in the Conference will interrogate various subjects pertaining to SADCOPAC’s core functions and agree on the key functions for future prioritization as individual Public Accounts Committees in various SADC states.
