COMMITTEES EMBARK ON ANNUAL REPORT PROCESS FOR THE 2021/2022 FINANCIAL YEAR
As part of implementing the Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s (GPL) oversight and public participation mandates, the various Portfolio Committees will from Friday 28 October 2022 host Public Hearing Meetings in Gauteng. The hearings allow members of the public to participate in the Committees’ efforts of scrutinizing the performance of the Gauteng Provincial Departments for the 2021/22 financial year.
During this period, portfolio committees review the Auditor General’s findings; as well as annual performance reports of Provincial Government Departments and their entities against actual performance during that same period.
The public hearing meetings also afford the people of Gauteng [who are the recipients of the different services] a platform to give input on performance reports by the Gauteng Departments.
Members of the media are invited to be part of the Public Hearing Meetings as they role out in the next few weeks.
