The Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on CoGTA and Human Settlements will convene a Hybrid Seminar on Tuesday, 1st March 2021. The Seminar will address the government housing backlog in Gauteng, specifically focusing on the processes of identifying beneficiaries as well as the allocation of houses. The Seminar will include the following:

  • Presentation on an investigation into the identification process of the housing beneficiaries and the allocation of RDP houses in the Gauteng Province
  • Inputs from CSIR
  • Inputs from South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC)
  • Inputs from Petitioners
