The Gauteng Provincial Legislature mourns the passing on of Honourable Member Lebogang More, who passed on yesterday after a short illness.
Hon. More was a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and joined the Gauteng Legislature in 2013. He was serving in the Standing Committee on Petitions and Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation and as the DA Shadow MEC for Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation. Hon. More was highly regarded throughout Africa and globally among its youth as he had held the position of President of the Organisation of African Liberal Youth and participated in International Liberal Youth leadership activities. Hon More also served as the Gauteng Provincial Chairperson and Provincial Leader of the DA Youth.
Before joining the Gauteng Legislature, Member More was a local government Councillor in Mogale City between 2006 and 2013.
He will be laid to rest on Thursday 01 July in Krugersdorp.
We wish to extend our deepest condolences to Hon. More’s family, his political party the DA and the entire community of Gauteng which he represented in the Legislature and served with distinction.
