GAUTENG LEGISLATURE TO HOST SPECIAL HOUSE SITTING IN HONOUR OF THE LATE MPL HON. MKHWANAZI
The Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature Honourable Morakane Mosupyoe will convene the Special House Sitting on Tuesday 21 April 2026 at the GPL’s Selbourne Hall at 10h00.
The Special House Sitting is convened as a memorial service in honour of the late Honourable Member Lindiwe Mkhwanazi. Hon. Member Mkhwanazi, who passed away last week, was deployed as a party representative of the uMkhonto We Sizwe Party (MKP) following the 2024 national and provincial elections. Hon. Member Mkhwanazi played a pivotal role as a member of the Multiparty Women’s Caucus where she championed the advancement of women’s rights and interests within the Legislature and across communities in Gauteng. She also served with dedication and commitment as a member of various portfolio committees of the Legislature.
